They came out on top against Central Mountain by a score of 50-37. Given Jersey Shore's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Central Mountain is ranked 379th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jersey Shore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Dincher, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Dincher hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. Jocelyn McCracken was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Despite the loss, Central Mountain still got an impressive performance from Taylor Doyle, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 40.5% of Central Mountain's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Jersey Shore has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Central Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
Jersey Shore will head out on the road to challenge Shikellamy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Shikellamy is coming into the contest with five straight wins at home, so Jersey Shore is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Central Mountain, they will head out on the road to take on Selinsgrove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Mountain is facing Selinsgrove at the right time seeing as Selinsgrove is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
