In what's become a running theme this season, the West Shores Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-2 victory over San Pasqual Academy at home. 35 seems to be a good number for West Shores as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Anastacia Garth was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Joana Cabrera, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
West Shores is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for San Pasqual Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
West Shores will head out on the road to take on Calexico Mission at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calexico Mission comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 11 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for San Pasqual Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Coastal Academy at 3:00 p.m.
