After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, the Juniata Indians were happy to have found some success on Friday. They secured a 36-32 W over Greenwood. That's another feather in the cap for Juniata, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Regan Lowrey, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Mariska Beward, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Greenwood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bekah Brinser, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Ritzman, who scored nine points along with four blocks.
Juniata's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Greenwood, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Juniata won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Penns Valley Area at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Juniata focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
