After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ygnacio Valley, Valley Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Emerald Aerouants 10-9. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Levi Delgado was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansh Codavalli, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
The win got Valley Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Emerald, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Christian will head out to challenge Mare Island Tech Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Emerald, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tennyson at 4:00 p.m. on April 30.
