Manteca gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Downey Knights. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Cameron Jimenez was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Dane Williams was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Manteca hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.

Manteca's record now sits at 9-2. As for Downey, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Manteca will face off against Sierra at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Downey, they will take on Modesto at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Downey is facing Modesto at the right time seeing as Modesto is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
