After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Amherst Central finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Williamsville South Billies, falling 17-2. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Amherst Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Williamsville South, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

While Amherst Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
