The San Diego Cavers can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They blew past University City 50-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win San Diego has posted since December 12, 2023.
San Diego's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mackenzie Nitzel, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 22 rebounds. Nitzel hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Lara Saucedo, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
University City struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as San Diego posted 14 assists.
San Diego now has a winning record of 10-9. As for University City, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 10-9.
San Diego will be playing in front of their home fans against Point Loma at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for University City, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
