The Jenkintown Drakes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lower Moreland, falling 49-11. While losing is never fun, Jenkintown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while Lower Moreland is ranked 127th).
It was another big night for Briana Mcferran, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Lower Moreland. Another player making a difference was Sydney Santora, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Jenkintown's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Lower Moreland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.
Jenkintown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lower Moreland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-39 defeat vs. Central Bucks East on the 9th.
