The Nipomo Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Mission College Prep Royals at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Nipomo can't be to happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Friday. They fell just short of Atascadero by a score of 5-4. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Logan Hobbs put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hobbs was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).
Hobbs wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Mendoza, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Mission College Prep gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on Santa Ynez with a sharp 14-2 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Royals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Like Nipomo, Mission College Prep also got a great game from a two-way player: Brady Orfila. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Orfila was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Thomas Glenn was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Sam Connors was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Mission College Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Ynez only posted an OBP of .158.
Nipomo suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Mission College Prep in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Nipomo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
