The Camden Hills Windjammers will head out to take on the Mt. Ararat Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Camden Hills will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Skowhegan, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Windjammers skirted past the River Hawks 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Windjammers have posted against the River Hawks since May 11, 2019.

The team relied heavily on Cole Hedrich, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Camden Hills' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). Carter Campbell was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Ararat). Everything went their way against Mt. Blue on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Tyler Thibeault was a standout: he went 4-for-6 with six RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Davis, who went 4-for-5 with four runs and two RBI.
Mt. Ararat always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .608. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Mt. Ararat's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Camden Hills, their record now sits at 6-10.
Camden Hills came up short against Mt. Ararat in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 6-1. Can the Windjammers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
