The City School Lions will head out on the road to take on the Community Academy of Philadelphia The Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for The City School, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-14 loss to Sankofa Freedom Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points The City School has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Community Academy of Philadelphia's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 39-30 to Villa Victoria Academy.
The City School has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Community Academy of Philadelphia, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
The City School was taken down by Community Academy of Philadelphia 61-20 in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point The City School was down 36-10.
