There's no place like home for the El Primero Lobos, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against KIPP San Jose Collegiate on Thursday as El Primero made off with a 35-12 victory. That's another feather in the cap for El Primero, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
El Primero had a senior duo take command as Paola Gallegos scored 15 points and Yesenia Villanueva scored 15 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Villanueva has scored at least a third of El Primero's points.
El Primero's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.
El Primero will be playing in front of their home fans against DCP Alum Rock at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DCP Alum Rock will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something El Primero surely won't give up without a fight. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, they will head out on the road to square off against Mid-Peninsula at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Mid-Peninsula's defense has only allowed 24.3 points per game this season, so KIPP San Jose Collegiate's offense will have their work cut out for them.
