Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 6-6 at halftime, Tranquillity was not quite Laton's equal in the second half on Wednesday. Tranquillity fell just short of Laton by a score of 15-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Tranquillity has suffered yet this season.
Mendota has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Tranquillity, they bumped their record down to 0-16 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Mendota against Tranquillity in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 65-14 win. With Mendota ahead 32-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.
