 On the hitting side,  Mason Ishii and  Andy Sanchez stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Ishii  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2, while  Sanchez  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aaron Gaxiola, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 On Firebaugh's side,  Ines Felix spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.
 At the plate,  Jimmy Flores and  Jonathan Maya did most of the damage at the plate:  Flores  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3, while  Maya  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Chris Thomas, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
 Caruthers' defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Firebaugh, the  win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-16.
 Caruthers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Firebaugh, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Yosemite at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Firebaugh is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
