If The Punxsutawney Chucks were feeling good off their 33-0 takedown of Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Punxsutawney took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clearfield. Punxsutawney has struggled against Clearfield recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Maddox Hetrick threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Noah Weaver was his top target, picking up 57 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Landon Martz rushed for 110 yards.
Clearfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brady Collins out in front who rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Clearfield also got a significant boost from Will Domico, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 98 yards.
Punxsutawney's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Clearfield, their win was their fifth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-3.
Punxsutawney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Clearfield also has no future games currently scheduled.
