Baseball Recap: Katella Wins Going Away Against Anaheim

Katella not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 17-3). They blew past the Anaheim Colonists 9-1. Considering the Knights have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Vincent Aguilera looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in 16 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Julian Bustos, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kevin Reyes Mejia, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Katella and bumps their season record up to 20-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Anaheim, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Katella nor Anaheim have any future games scheduled.
