The Perkiomen Valley Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Methacton Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Perkiomen Valley is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
On Sunday, Perkiomen Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Archbishop Wood, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory.
Perkiomen Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quinn Boettinger led the charge by scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Grace Galbavy, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Methacton, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-54 loss to Pennridge on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Methacton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 469th, while Pennridge is ranked 200th).
Perkiomen Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Methacton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Everything came up roses for Perkiomen Valley against Methacton in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 78-16 win. With Perkiomen Valley ahead 46-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
