The Branham Bruins will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Live Oak Acorns at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Branham has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Branham and Milpitas meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again last Thursday. Branham came out on top in a nail-biter against Milpitas, sneaking past 4-2. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Luka Knezevic and Gabe Migues made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Knezevic tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Migues pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. On the hitting side, Live Oak got a massive performance out of Spencer Westfield, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those triples marked the first that Westfield hit this season. Casey Scannell was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-2.
Live Oak picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Branham, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
