The 2020-21 high school basketball season is quickly approaching its end. Thirteen of the MaxPreps Top 25 teams have completed their seasons, a few are in the middle of their COVID-delayed schedules while a handful are awaiting the GEICO Nationals.
The March 31-April tournament features the top four in the MaxPreps Top 25 as well as four more teams sitting inside the top 16, while perennial powers, but unranked Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) and La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.) round out the field in Florida.
The biggest mover in this week's rankings is No. 20 St. Vincent-St. Mary, which jumped five spots after capturing its third state title in five
seasons and ninth overall. The Fighting Irish blew past St. Francis DeSales (Columbus) 72-50 in Sunday's OHSAA Division II state title game.
No. 19 Houston (Germantown, Tenn.) was the other big riser as first-year head coach and former NBA champion Mike Miller led the Mustangs to the school's first title Saturday with a 62-43 win over Cane Ridge (Nashville).
