There's no place like home for Thomas More Prep-Marian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Russell Broncos on Tuesday. The Monarchs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Broncos, too.

Thomas More Prep-Marian easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18.

Raegan Allen paced Thomas More Prep-Marian's offense, picking up eight kills. Allen got some help from Bria Windholz and her 12 assists. Windholz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Thomas More Prep-Marian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. As for Russell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Thomas More Prep-Marian and Russell could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. The Monarchs (ranked 133rd) will meet Oakley (ranked 23rd) on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Russell will face off against Ellinwood on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (316 vs. 7).
