The West Catholic Burrs lost against the Abington Galloping Ghosts back in December of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. West Catholic received a tough blow as they fell 60-45 to Abington. West Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Burrs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ciani Scott, who scored 18 points along with three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. Ciana Blake was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
West Catholic's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-2. As for Abington, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
West Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet George School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. George School will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Abington, they will head out on the road to face off against Quakertown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
