The Windthorst Trojans will face off against the Paradise Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
On Thursday, Windthorst got the win against Seymour by a conclusive 15-1. That looming 15-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.
Jayln Benson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Benson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Camille Cabrera, who went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Catherine Hoff was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and four runs.
Windthorst always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Paradise came tearing into last Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 12 matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Windthorst, Paradise also got a great game from a two-way player: Brooke Limbaugh. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Limbaugh has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, Celeste Mast and Laura Siek did most of the damage at the plate: Mast got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Siek got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave Mast a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabriella Handley, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Windthorst's win bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Paradise, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2-1.
Saturday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Windthorst has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .480. However, it's not like Paradise struggles in that department as they've averaged .588. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Windthorst might still be hurting after the 18-1 loss they got from Paradise in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Will the Trojans have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
