Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Jackson's 13th in Last 14 Outings

Jackson won against Mays last Monday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Jackson put the hurt on Mays with a sharp 15-5 win. Considering the Jaguars have won 15 matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson let Charlie Schrope and Pearce Henry run wild. Schrope went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base, while Henry scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Henry a new career-high in doubles (two). Kason Allen was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases.

Jackson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. Mays' defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Jackson Jaguars duke it out with Forest Park Panthers at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. As for Mays, they will square off against Drew at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mays is facing Drew at the right time seeing as Drew is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
