The Independence Falcons entered their tilt with the Mission College Prep Royals with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Independence walked away with a 55-43 win over Mission College Prep on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Independence, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
AMARIUS "AR" ROWEL was his usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with six assists. Another player making a difference was DAVIAN LEON, who scored 12 points.
Independence has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Mission College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Independence will take on Stockdale at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Independence focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday. As for Mission College Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Santa Ynez at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Ynez is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.
