The Kearny Kardinals waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 60-48 victory over American History. For Kearny, this counts as revenge for the 74-73 loss American History walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2018.
American History lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ahmad Woodard, who scored 13 points along with six steals. Woodard hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Ihjamir Williams, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Kearny pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for American History, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Kearny will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for American History, they will head out on the road to take on Golda Och Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
