There's no place like home for the Calvary Baptist Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past The Grove School 36-6 at home on Friday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-2.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Calvary Baptist to victory, but perhaps none more so than An Lei, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lei has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Crewse, who scored 13 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
Calvary Baptist's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for The Grove School, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Calvary Baptist will head out on the road to square off against the Ravens at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grove School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last 11 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for they, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Calvary Baptist at 3:30 p.m. Calvary Baptist's defense has only allowed 29.1 points per game this season, so the Ravens' offense will have their work cut out for them.
