The East Coweta Indians won the last time they faced the McIntosh Chiefs, and things went their way on Wednesday too. East Coweta managed a 58-54 victory over McIntosh. The win made it back-to-back wins for East Coweta.
Carby Martin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Channing Beadles, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
East Coweta now has a winning record of 7-6. As for McIntosh, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Coweta will take on Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carrollton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than East Coweta in Georgia (Carrollton is ranked 43rd, while East Coweta is ranked 153rd). McIntosh and Northgate will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Northgate is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
