Landmark Christian is 1-9 against Trinity Christian since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The Landmark Christian War Eagles will head out on the road to  face off against  the Trinity Christian Lions  at 5:30  p.m. Landmark Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7  runs per game  this season.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Landmark Christian and Heard County meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again  on Friday. Landmark Christian walked away with  a   7-3  win over Heard County.
  Noah Ellis was  excellent,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Those  stolen bases marked the first that  he  stole this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Niles Redrick, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Trinity Christian hadn't done well against Strong Rock Christian recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Saturday. Trinity Christian walked away with  an   8-5  victory over Strong Rock Christian. While the Lions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
 The  win made it two in a row for Trinity Christian and  bumps their season record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Landmark Christian,  the  victory  got them back to even at 3-3.
 Landmark Christian came up short against Trinity Christian when the teams last played  back in February, falling  7-2. Can Landmark Christian avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
