Meanwhile, Smithsburg scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Boonsboro 87-63. Given Smithsburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Boonsboro is ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Perry Hall's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Smithsburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
