Basketball Recap: Kareena Preuss Key Part of a Team Effort in Rams Win

Spring-Ford posted their closest victory since December 30, 2023 on Sunday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 win over the Springfield Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.

Spring-Ford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kareena Preuss out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 boards. The dominant performance gave Preuss a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emma Kaercher, who posted 16 points.

Spring-Ford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

Spring-Ford has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Springfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4-1.

Spring-Ford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-27 win against Pottsgrove on the 14th. As for Springfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-33 loss against Haverford on the 14th.
