The Red Lake Warriors suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Deer River on the road and fell 83-50. Red Lake has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lilia Pemberton, who scored 19 points along with three steals. That was a full 38% of Red Lake's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ce?angela Pemberton, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Red Lake has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Deer River, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Lake's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kelliher/Northome at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Deer River, they will take on Barnum at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
