After soaring to 43  points the game before, Wilkes Central was a bit more limited  in their  matchup  on Friday. They had to suffer through  a    42-6 loss at the hands of the Alleghany Trojans. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in March of 2021.
 Alleghany got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  John LeMasters out in front who rushed for 70 yards and one  touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 55 yards and one  TD.  Aiden Love was in the mix  as well, providing the Trojans with two scores.
Wilkes Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Alleghany, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wilkes Central will  take on  rival Starmount  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Alleghany is set to  square off against  their familiar foe North Wilkes  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
