Canton is 2-8 against Wyalusing Valley since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Canton Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Wyalusing Valley Rams at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Canton was able to grind out a solid win over Addison, taking the game 30-21.
Cailyn Van Noy and Kendall Kitchen were among the main playmakers for Canton as the former scored 11 points and the latter scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daveian Crowley, who scored 3 points along with 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wyalusing Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They secured a 36-32 W over Susquehanna on Saturday.
The victory got Canton back to even at 1-1. As for Wyalusing Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Canton didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Wyalusing Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
