Madison Zavasky was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 22 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Pine-Richland's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Catherine Gentile, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and three blocks.
Pine-Richland's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Hempfield Area, they bumped their record down to 7-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

North Allegheny presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pine-Richland in Pennsylvania (North Allegheny is ranked 17th, while Pine-Richland is ranked 340th).
