Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Simi Valley). They strolled past the Nordhoff Rangers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 60-46. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

When it comes to explaining why Nordhoff lost, don't look at Cadence Renshaw. Despite the final result, she went 10 of 22 en route to 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Crystal Ramirez, who posted 14 points.

Simi Valley now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Nordhoff, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Simi Valley and Nordhoff could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Simi Valley (ranked 607th) will meet Immaculate Heart (ranked 179th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Nordhoff will challenge Parlier at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday down 436 places (789 vs. 353).
