The Franklin Regional Panthers were the 53-29 winner over the Penn-Trafford Warriors when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Franklin Regional took a hard 57-38 fall against Penn-Trafford on Friday. While losing is never fun, Franklin Regional can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 409th, while Penn-Trafford is ranked 113th).
Penn-Trafford found their leader in underclassman Hanna Weishaar, who scored 19 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Weishaar scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Olivia Pepple, who scored 12 points.
Franklin Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Penn-Trafford, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Franklin Regional will be playing in front of their home fans against Plum at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Penn-Trafford, they will head out on the road to take on Albert Gallatin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
