Leuzinger is 6-0 against Inglewood since April of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Leuzinger Olympians will head out on the road to face off against the Inglewood Sentinels at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Leuzinger has six straight victories, Inglewood has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Leuzinger can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They blew past Morningside 74-20 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Leuzinger has posted since January 3rd.
Leuzinger's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Madison Watts, who scored 24 points along with three steals and two blocks, and Dresha Moore, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Leah Sarabia, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Inglewood lost to Centennial at home by a decisive 38-24 margin on Wednesday.
Leuzinger has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Inglewood, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
Everything came up roses for Leuzinger against Inglewood in their previous meeting on January 10th as the squad secured a 100-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Leuzinger since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
