On Thursday, Valley Christian Academy strolled past Liberty Christian with points to spare, taking the game 30-13. Valley Christian Academy's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Valley Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Elle Mason, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Mason scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Mikkelson, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Valley Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. As for Liberty Christian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Valley Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Tournament Opponent at 1:45 p.m. on January 26th. Liberty Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
