The Rancho Christian Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Hillcrest Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rancho Christian lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Rancho Verde, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's match. The Eagles put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 13-5 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on five straight.

Cooper Rivera was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cylis Proffitt, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Rancho Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Hillcrest came out on top against Vista del Lago on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Trojans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Ravens an 11-0 shutout. The Trojans have beaten the Ravens the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Ravens has come to flipping the script.
The team relied heavily on James Henson, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Logan Broesel, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Rancho Christian pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hillcrest, their record now sits at 16-7-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rancho Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hillcrest struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Rancho Christian skirted past Hillcrest 8-6 in their previous meeting on Monday. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
