It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Briar Woods Falcons ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Riverside 61-58. The victory was just what Briar Woods needed coming off of a 78-58 defeat in their prior match.
Riverside's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Ridgeway, who scored 16 points along with three steals. The matchup was Ridgeway's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Lawson, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds.

Briar Woods will head out on the road to face off against Stone Bridge at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Stone Bridge will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Riverside, they will be playing at home against Potomac Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
