Even though the Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans scored an imposing 60 points on Thursday, the Whale Branch Warriors still came out on top. Whale Branch took their match against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler 70-60.
Greggory Gilbert continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of KJ Chisholm, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
The win got Whale Branch back to even at 5-5. As for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
