After losing to the Meyersdale Red Raiders the last time they met, the Rockwood Rockets decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Rockwood came out on top against Meyersdale by a score of 41-30 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rockwood.
Meyersdale's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Laurel Daniels, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Daughton, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Rockwood's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Meyersdale, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Rockwood will head out on the road to face off against Blacklick Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Blacklick Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. As for Meyersdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shade at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
