The Carlsbad Lancers will head out on the road to  face off against  the Sage Creek Bobcats at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Carlsbad is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
 Carlsbad has not done well against Rancho Bernardo recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  last Friday. Everything went Carlsbad's way against Rancho Bernardo as Carlsbad made off with  a  9-0 victory. Carlsbad might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three games by seven  runs or more this season.
 Carlsbad got a great performance from  Ian Fisher as he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched.  Tyler Foster came in to relieve  Fisher and was airtight, giving up no runs, hits or walks in he two  innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Ayden Munoz was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with a  home run, two  additional RBI,  and  an  additional run.  Griffin Moye was another key contributor,  going 1-for-2 with a  home run and two  additional RBI.
 Meanwhile, Sage Creek fell victim to Mt. Carmel and their airtight pitching crew  on Monday. They took  a  4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sundevils. The  contest marked that first time this year in which Sage Creek was not able to get on the board.
 Sage Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Aiden Vogel, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base.
 Carlsbad's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Sage Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
 Carlsbad beat Sage Creek 4-1  when the teams last played  back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlsbad since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
