It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Loara ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They secured a 43-39 W over La Quinta. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 14 to 6 on the offensive boards, as Loara did.
Loara found their leader in underclassman Sophia Rangel, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Angela Ngo was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Los Amigos posted their biggest win since December 19, 2023 on Wednesday. They breezed by Rancho Alamitos at home to the tune of 57-27.
Loara has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Los Amigos, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
Loara took their win against Los Amigos when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 52-31. Will Loara repeat their success, or does Los Amigos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
