Magnolia Science Academy was beaten by Southlands Christian 56-18 on Thursday. Magnolia Science Academy has struggled against Southlands Christian recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Elvira Chavez Trujillo and Karla Villaverde certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Chavez Trujillo scored eight points, while Villaverde scored eight points. That was a full 44.4% of Magnolia Science Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Magnolia Science Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Southlands Christian, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Magnolia Science Academy will take on Avalon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southlands Christian, they will be playing at home against Samueli Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Samueli Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
