Moriah is 10-0 against Northeastern Clinton since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Moriah Vikings have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Northeastern Clinton Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. One thing working in Moriah's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Moriah gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 64-36 win over Ticonderoga at home. Given Moriah's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while Ticonderoga is ranked 424th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Moriah relied on the efforts of Wyatt Whitman, who scored 17 points along with five steals, and Cooper Allen, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Gilbo, who scored two points along with seven assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Northeastern Clinton strolled past Peru with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 58-42.
Jordan Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points. Cyle Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Moriah's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.1 points. As for Northeastern Clinton, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
