The Community Charter Titans will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Stern Titans at 3:00 p.m. on February 15th. Community Charter will be strutting in after a win while Stern will be coming in after a loss.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Community Charter had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They beat the by a goal, winning 2-1. The victory was just what Community Charter needed coming off of a 4-0 defeat in their prior match.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Isabella George and
Marianna Melendrez, who scored both of Community Charter's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 40 so far this season.
Meanwhile, after a string of 11 wins, Stern's good fortune finally ran out last Friday. They fell just short of Smidt Tech by a score of 3-2. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Stern couldn't quite close it out.
Community Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7-1 record this season. As for Stern, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-2-1.
