Wayne waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Mount Ayr Raiders get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by seven runs or more this season.

Wayne pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Mount Ayr, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne will challenge Ottumwa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 2.1, the Bulldogs 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Mount Ayr, they will square off against Lenox on Thursday.
