Even though the Weaver Beavers scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, the Bloomfield Warhawks still came out on top. Bloomfield took their game against the Beavers 66-59. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bloomfield also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Weaver lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Madden Cupe, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Cupe hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaheim Wilson, who scored 15 points.
The victory got Bloomfield back to even at 6-6. As for Weaver, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.
Bloomfield will head out on the road to face off against the Golden Hurricanes at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. New Britain is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Weaver, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bulkeley is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
