Vaughn has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the West Ranch Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Vaughn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
Vaughn put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season. They claimed a resounding 55-19 victory over Fulton at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Vaughn has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Yamileth Ferreira, who scored 22 points along with six assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Emma Cisneros was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine steals.
Meanwhile, West Ranch was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 44-43 to Valencia. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Ranch in their matchups with Valencia: they've now lost four in a row.
Vaughn is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season. As for West Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.
Vaughn suffered a grim 49-29 defeat to West Ranch in their previous matchup back in December of 2018. Thankfully for Vaughn, Ariel Miron (who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 26 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
